Now a practicing veterinary professional with many years of experience, Dr. Rachel Easterly graduated from St. Lawrence University with her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and then earned a Master of Arts in Biochemistry from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Easterly later went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine (TUSVM) in 1997. During her career in academia, Dr. Easterly earned the TUSVM Award for Academic Distinction and gained entrance into the Phi Beta Kappa Society and Phi Zeta, the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine. Rachel Easterly, DVM, also studied under the All-American Scholar Graduate Education program.
Since that time, Dr. Rachel Easterly has taken a number of professional positions, which have contributed to her expertise in veterinary medicine. She served as a graduate Research Assistant at SUNY Buffalo, where she focused on intensive research in molecular biology and genetics. Also an Emergency Veterinary Doctor with the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of the Seacoast Region, she grew her skills in triage, diagnosis, surgery, and emergency procedures. Rachel Easterly, DVM, has also worked at Hampton Veterinary Hospital, Grand Strand Animal Hospital, the Columbia Animal Shelter, and Vet-Stem, Inc., among others. Today, she owns and operates The Doctor Is IN Veterinary Relief Services. Dedicated to quality animal care and superior client education and surgical practices, Dr. Rachel Easterly provides a high level of veterinary services for small animals in the communities surrounding St. Augustine, Florida, and Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
